It’s Now or Never
Do you ever feel like, when you were younger, all you wanted to do was be awake (much to the chagrin of your parents) because life was so incredible and fascinating and you couldn’t believe that you had the luck to be born into this world, into your body, with your thoughts and feelings?
Today, your alarm clock wakes you up at 7:45 and you roll over in bed wishing you could do nothing but sleep until something more satisfying happens in your life. You have forgotten what you are doing, why you are here, and all of your willpower for the day is drained by the time you sit down at your desk at 9:00.
What happened? How did you get here?
Life is a struggle. Sometimes you get beat down and it’s hard to get up. But tell yourself this every day. I do. And I am getting up.
Seattle in the Sunshine
Easter Long Weekend. Sunshine. Seattle!
Our friend kindly extended an invitation to stay at his swanky apartment in downtown Bellevue.

What’s a trip to the States by a Canada-dweller without some serious retail therapy?

Welcome to Canada
Except there’s no more hockey for us to watch this season because we only last 5 games in the Playoffs. Seriously.
Trees Organic
Possibly the most deadly decadent cheesecake in Vancouver: the maple walnut cheesecake at Trees Organic. It’s a good thing I don’t make it out to Gastown often or it’ll soon be time to up the sizes of everything in my wardrobe!
St. Patrick’s Day
We all love excuses to celebrate. St. Patrick’s Day may be one of the best ones: dress in green and drink Guinness. What could be better?
My $7 dollar store green feather boa began falling apart as soon as I left the no-returns store doors, so I made the best of it.

Betsey Johnson for Sephora OPI
I’ve always loved Betsey Johnson’s playful designs although have never found the occasion/money for any of her designs–until now. Other than being just the right shade for all seasons except maybe fall when fashion color palates all tend to be drab and dreary, it’s also infused with Betsey Johnson’s signature perfume! Love love love.
Pacifica Learns to Skii!
Some people may recall my first attempt at skiing at Manning Park wherein I accidentally went down a blue run first time ever up the mountain, cried, then sat on my butt and inched my way back down. Scarred for life.
BUT like everything else you’re scared of (socializing with strangers, alarm clocks, killing insects), you just have to get up, and do it again and again until you can. So on one of our of the first warm days, Pacifica officially learned to skii!
It was so warm on top of the mountain that we had a picnic in the snow.
